Our new piece embodies our goal to merge art and technology into high-end sustainable objects.
The technique used is additive manufacturing, also called 3D printing. It is a computer-controlled process that creates three dimensional objects by depositing the material in layers. The software and blueprints are cloud based and the chair can be manufactured on demand, in whichever print lab that carries a big enough printer.
We only work with certified and environmentally aware material suppliers. This chair is made from KCL FORMI 3D: a sustainable and versatile material. It consists of wood-based cellulose fibres from PEFC-certified, sustainably managed forest. Read sustainability report here.
